25/04/2025

From March 24 to April 1, Mr. Osada, Deputy Head Director of KIF (Jukucho of Daido Juku) and Mr. Kato, Chief Instructor of Daido Juku conducted an official visit to Ukraine. During this period, on Wednesday, March 26, they paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and held a formal meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Matvii Bidnyi. This meeting was arranged in response to KIF Deputy Head Director Osada’s visit from Japan, and was carried out as a formal courtesy call on behalf of the National Kudo Federation of Ukraine.

The meeting was attended by five individuals, including Daido Juku Chief Instructor Kiyotaka Kato and Mr. Andrii Honchar, Representative of the National Kudo Federation of Ukraine. During the discussion, a request was submitted for the participation of senior male athletes (18 years and older) in the upcoming Kudo World Cup, scheduled to be held in Bulgaria this July. Minister Bidnyi kindly granted his full support and approval.

The expressed support from the Minister for participation in international competitions represents a significant step forward and is expected to serve as a powerful driving force for the National Kudo Federation of Ukraine to further its presence and performance on the global stage. We are confident that this meaningful engagement will contribute greatly to the future development of the Federation.

Furthermore, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Mr. Vladimir Bredikhin, Branch chief of the Kudo Malta Branch, for generously providing air travel arrangements for both Osada and Kato in support of this important mission and the ongoing development of Kudo in Ukraine.
