European Kudo Junior Championship Report

06/02/2024

The European Kudo Junior Championship was held on February 3rd and 4th in Malta. Also, a Joho seminar and a European branch chief meeting were held.

Including two special participants from Japan, about 200 athletes from 12 countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Italy, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Malta, Spain, Ukraine, United Kingdom) competed passionately and was broadcast to the world via the web.

The two-day tournament featured 47 matches for U9 and U11 boys, and 32 matches for girls on the first day, followed by 29 matches for U13 boys and 59 matches for U16 boys on the second day.

A total of 167 matches were played over the two days, and KIF would like to express our gratitude not only to the Maltese staffs but also to the parents of the Maltese players who helped ensure the smooth running of the tournament.

The European Kudo Championship will be held in Italy in June, including U19 junior matches. KIF believes that the European Kudo Junior Championships held on this scale have given us great inspiration and courage for our future activities in Europe. KIF would like to thank everyone in Malta for hosting the championship.

Also, KIF hopes to inspire Kudo’s activities not only in Europe but all over the world.

The results will be posted under “Events/Results of International Tournaments” at a later date. Below are photos from the opening ceremonies, which were held in four parts.
